Privacy Policy
Health Workout Exporter is designed to operate entirely on your iPhone. This policy explains what the app accesses, how that information is used, and the limited circumstances in which data leaves your device.

1. Scope of this policy
This privacy policy applies to the Health Workout Exporter iOS application (the “app”) published by Cognitive Commerce LLC (“Cognitive Commerce,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for iPhone on the Apple App Store. It does not cover Apple Health, HealthKit, iCloud, or any third-party service you may choose to send exported files to.
By installing and using the app, you acknowledge the practices described below. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not install or use the app.
2. Data the app accesses
The app requests read-only access to workout records stored by Apple HealthKit on your iPhone. Access is granted by you through the standard iOS Health permission sheet and can be revoked at any time in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices.
When permission is granted, the app may read the following HealthKit sample types for the workouts you choose to view or export:
- Workout sessions (activity type, start and end times, duration, and totals)
- Workout routes and location samples (when recorded by the source device)
- Heart rate samples associated with a workout
- Active and basal energy samples
- Distance samples (walking, running, cycling, swimming, and similar)
- Cadence, speed, and power samples when present
- Source and device metadata (for example, the Apple Watch model that recorded the session)
The app does not request access to any HealthKit data types beyond what is needed to display and export workouts. The app does not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, calendar, reminders, or location services independently of HealthKit.
3. How data is used
HealthKit data read by the app is used solely to:
- Display a list of your recorded workouts inside the app
- Show per-workout summary information before export
- Generate an export file in the format you select (JSON, GPX, or TCX)
- Present that file to the iOS share sheet so you can deliver it to a destination of your choice
Cognitive Commerce LLC does not use your workout data for advertising, profiling, machine learning, model training, analytics, or any purpose other than the one you invoked.
4. Storage and retention
Workout data remains in Apple HealthKit on your device. The app does not maintain its own copy of your health history. When you generate an export, the resulting file is written to a temporary location managed by iOS so it can be handed to the share sheet.
Temporary export files are managed by the operating system and are not retained by the app beyond the active export operation. Any permanent copy of an exported file exists only in the destination you explicitly choose (for example, Files, Mail, Messages, or a device you AirDrop to).
Cognitive Commerce LLC does not maintain any server-side database, account system, or cloud storage of your information.
6. Third parties and analytics
The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. There are no embedded trackers, no telemetry, and no usage metrics collected by Cognitive Commerce LLC.
Apple may independently collect aggregate, anonymized information about app installs, crashes, and performance as part of normal App Store and iOS operation. That collection is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy and not by this policy.
7. Children’s privacy
The app is not directed to children under the age of 13, and Cognitive Commerce LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not collect personal information from any user, it does not collect personal information from children either.
8. Your rights
Because the app does not collect or store your personal information on any server, there is no account to delete and no remote data to request, correct, or export. You remain in full control of your HealthKit data at all times:
- Revoke Health access at any time in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices
- Delete exported files from any destination where you previously saved them
- Uninstall the app at any time, which immediately ends all access to HealthKit
Residents of jurisdictions with data protection laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (California) retain all rights granted by those laws. Because Cognitive Commerce LLC does not collect or process your personal information outside of your device, there is no personal information held by Cognitive Commerce LLC to which those rights would attach. 9. Security
HealthKit data is protected by iOS platform security, including device encryption and the HealthKit permission model. The app follows Apple’s guidelines for HealthKit usage and only reads the minimum data required to perform an export.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting the destinations you share exported files to, including the accounts, devices, and services that receive those files.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or clarifications. When a material change is made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the app after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
